Apply for Psychoanalytic Training from the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Institute

There are two ways to apply for Psychoanalytic Training from the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Institute:

Email Joan Lentz, Co-Chair of Admissions, or call Dr. Lentz at (612) 339-0270, to request that an Admissions packet be mailed to you. Complete it and send it back.

Application details

As part of the admissions process, you must provide a two- to three-page written personal statement. This statement should detail your experiences related to your interest in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic training. With the exception of letters of reference, all application materials must be received before interviews will be arranged. You do need not be in a personal analysis at the time of submitting your application.

The application fee is $200.

MPI considers applications on a rolling basis for the incoming class of candidates. After submitting your completed application, you will be notified of acceptance and the start date of classes.
